And the Winner is…HADU

London 20 April, 2016 – After an exciting day, watching seven well presented ideas on how to make Remittances via Banks, more affordable while keeping the payments safe, secure and compliant,  the audience voted.  The teams came from several UK Universities:  Queen Mary College,  Imperial College, London School of Economics,  Warwick Business School and King’s College.  The ideas presented ranged from delivery by drones to the use of authorized cards to deliver cash.

The winning submission is HADU submitted by a team from Warwick Business School.  Congratulations to : Mohammed Dankwambo, Fiza Hussain, Qotrun Nada Haroen, Yungjing Li, Sneha, Sunkara, Yay Hung To  for their winning idea which uses Near Sound Data Transfer to send and receive funds.

The winners were presented a check for 15,000 GBP  by Economic Secretary to the Treasury Harriett Baldwin to develop their idea further which will then be presented to those present at SIBOS 2016 Geneva.
